Things To Do: Gili Trawangan
Gili Islands is one of the top destination for a quick getaway from your Bali holiday. The Gili Islands is located between Bali and Lombok, its only take a short trip by boat to get to the islands. Gili Islands consist of Gili Trawangan, Gili Air and Gili Meno. Compared to these three islands, the most popular and the biggest one of all is Gili Trawangan. Getting there
To get to Gili Trawangan is very easy. There are various fast boat company that provide pick up and drop off service from your place of accommodation. All you need is to book your one way or return tickets by phone at least one or two days before. On the day their shuttle will pick you up to get to the Padang Bay/Serangan Harbour point of departure. It takes approximately two hours from the harbour to get to the island.
Getting around
There's no car or motor bike allowed on the island, so walking or cycling is the most efficient way to get around the island. You can explore the whole island by cycling in approximately 1-1.5 hours. Bicycle rental usually available everywhere, but better to get help/rent from your island stay to get a reasonable price.

Hard to leave when they offer such a great vibe every night with bon fire and good music. Staff are friendly, vibe is great, they make you feel at home and this makes you come back for more!
Things to do
- Cycling along the coast line
If it's your first time in Gili T, make time to explore the whole island cruising around with the bicycle. You will get a clearer picture of every part of the island, discover new places and will assist you in deciding which favorite spot you'll likely visit the next day. To see the whole island it only takes around 1-1.5 hours!
- Snorkling
Swimming with turtles and discover underwater sculptures is what you should expect. You need to book the snorkeling trip at least a day before. The trip will start in the morning around 10 am. They will take you to some amazing spots around the three Gilis and have a lunch break in Gili Air.
- Sunset
Ride your bike to the sunset side of the island, where you can find many unique places to hang out on sunset time. The Exhile is one of a famous sunset spot where they play the Djembe drum as the sun goes down while you are enjoying an ice cold beer and fresh tasty food.
- Shopping

- Night market
Located in the centre of the island, this night market is a heaven of local food. There are so many options of fresh sea food that you can choose to grill on the spot.
- Open air cinema
Enjoy different movie everyday! Villa Ombak Hotel provides an outdoor movie by the beach where you can sit on bean bags while enjoying the pop corn. The movie usually start at 7 pm.
